Dear Ms. Sherrie,

I am Brian Peek's wife and as you may know, Bill spent a lot of time with us in Baton Rouge last year (2006).  He would usually come over several days at a time when he had a break from work, usually for a LSU home game.  Bill and Brian would sit outside watching games and ESPN GameDay for hours and hours at a time.  I could hear Bill laugh the loudest and it would make me laugh out loud.  He was always thoughtful and considerate and it was always a joy when he would come stay with us.  I would say, "This is my adopted son, Bill.  He's in town for a few days!"  Last year, he was with us for New Year's Eve.  They popped firecrackers and bottle rockets in our front yard, screaming like a couple of 10-year olds!  He was a good friend to us and I hope we were good friends to him.  Miss Sherrie, he loved you very much and I could  tell you were his comfort zone, his stability.  I just wanted you to know that there are many people in Baton Rouge who loved Bill.  I will always remember that infectious laugh and his huge smile.  We will treasure our memories of him forever.  Close
